Draft Dodgers! You didn't know you needed one...
Whassat you ask? Why, it's a Draft Dodger!
Recently, we were up in Peekskill visiting friends Meredith and Todd. Mer is a crafty designer-type gal, and spent down time hand knitting these wonderful little jobbies. A Draft Dodger is a warm, woolly, alpaca scarf that is as long as your neck is round, with a vintage button to close it.
So what if you have got scarves by the dozen -- this lil jobby is better! It fits under fancy stand-up coat collars, and looks so sweet over your winter ensemble! It's not itchy, and comes in beautiful colors! You can have a non-vintage fashionable button, or a fancy bakelite one for the 40s! The people who have everything don't have this yet!
Best part is, you can pick out what you want and Meredith will make it for you, up in Peeksill, by the fire in her eco-friendly pellet stove! (At least until business takes off and she hires more minions do do her bidding as she basks in the steam of her luxurious bubble bath...sipping champagne cocktails...getting a massage)
Now available at Etsy or OrchardStreetGoods.com!
P.S. Like crooners? Like jazz? Like Swing? Todd is playing February 15th in Midtown Manhattan. Check him out!
Wow - Etsy love all over the place! Thanks for plugging the site - we Etsian's take all of the promo we can get.
Your friend's draft dodger is lovely, I'll have to go check it out.
I, like the commenter above me, have an Etsy shop as well. http://idyllhands.etsy.com. I knit... with wire!
